Shores of Helios celebrates the eternal alliance between the sun and the sea.

The first model in the collection, this silk carré opens the journey. At dawn, when the first rays of the sun illuminate the shores of the Aegean Sea, nature awakens and the ancient world comes back to life. In Greek mythology, the god Helios crosses the sky every day in his flaming chariot, bringing light, warmth, and abundance. Without him, neither gardens, nor seas, nor shores could thrive. His gaze illuminates the temples facing the horizon and nourishes the creatures that inhabit the Mediterranean waters.

The sun as a symbol of new beginnings

At the heart of the composition shines a rising sun, a symbol of new beginnings. It ushers in the day, dispenses light, and brings life to the world around it. Alongside it sit seahorses and palm trees, figures of a landscape awakening under the first rays of Helios.

Poseidon's Procession

In Greek mythology, hippocampi accompany Poseidon and pull his chariot through the waves. Symbols of the sea's power and maritime travel, they invite one to set sail. Often depicted in mosaics and ancient decorations, they also celebrate the richness of the marine world and the treasures that the Mediterranean offered to the peoples who lived on its shores.
